The Turkish Minister of National Education, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tekin, received this evening at the Istanbul Pullman Hotel (the conference venue) the Mauritanian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Yacoub Ould Moine, along with the accompanying delegation.
The meeting, held at 9:38 p.m. Istanbul time, focused on ways to strengthen and further develop bilateral relations between Mauritania and Türkiye, particularly in the fields of higher education and scientific research, as well as mechanisms for promoting academic and technical exchanges between the two countries.
The Mauritanian Minister began an official visit to Türkiye today to participate in the 7th edition of the Global Educational Technology Conference “TETZ 2026”, which opened at the same venue under the theme:
“The Future of Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Peace, Humanity, and a Shared Future.”
Also attending the meeting, alongside the Minister's delegation, were His Excellency Mauritania's Ambassador to Türkiye, Mr. Sidi Ahmed El Bekaye Ould Hamady, and the Cultural Adviser, Ms. Mariem Bent Boubacar.
