On Monday, August 12, 2024, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Yaqoub Ould Amin chaired a meeting at his office with some officials from the sector.
In his speech, His Excellency welcomed the attendees, stating that he had been tasked by His Excellency the President of the Republic to work with everyone to implement the government's policy aimed at improving the higher education and scientific research sector. He emphasized the need to fight corruption, rationalize public spending, and respect official working hours as specified by law. His Excellency also stressed that the instructions of His Excellency the President of the Republic are clear in this regard.
His Excellency the Minister also reviewed some useful ideas and proposals and listened to those made by the attendees.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry, Dr. Al-Mukhtar Handa, officials and advisors, the Inspector General, general managers and central managers in the sector, and some directors of public higher education institutions.
